
Japan loves animals – especially fish. Most major cities in Japan will be only a handful of minutes away from the nearest aquarium. Japan also does Aquariums really well, with the most mesmerizing tanks in Osaka and Okinawa hosting ocean creatures as large as Whale sharks.
But Japan also has a large number of zoos and animal parks, the most famous of which being the Jigokudani Monkey Park, where wild monkeys are often seen relaxing in the hot geothermal waters.
Aside from zoos and animal parks, there are also several places in Japan that you can find wildlife up close.
