Ritsurin Garden Kagawa Prefecture

Kagawa Prefecture is a small prefecture that encompasses the north eastern corner of the Japanese Island of Shikoku. With a population from the entire prefecture being just over 1 million indiviudlals residing here, Kagawa is a quiet rural prefecture that offers plenty of outdoor attractions. 

The capital city of Kagawa is Takamatsu, which alone houses just under half of the prefectures population at 420,000 people. 

The local specialty for Kagawa is called Sanuki Udon. For those unfamiliar with Japanese Cuisine, udon is a type of thick noodle dish popular in Japan. Sanuki Udon is beloved by all in the prefecture, as such, it is not uncommon to see queues of people at restaurants to have some of the famous udon for themselves.
