Accessing Kyoto Railway Museum

The Kyoto Railway Museum can easily be reached directly from Kyoto Station, taking the San-i Line, Local Sonobe, for 1 stop to Umekoji-Kyotonishi Station. This will cost 150JPY one way. 

Alternatively, you can stretch your legs for free and take a 20 minute walk from Kyoto Station, through Umekoji park before heading across to the Kyoto Railway Museum.
