Miyagi Prefecture

Miyagi Prefecture is found in the coastal regions of Northern Japan, in the region of Tohoku. Being coastal, fisheries are a major industry in this prefecture. There are only 2.3 million people in this prefecture, many of whom live in its capital city of Sendai, which is the second largest city north of Tokyo. Miyagi and the surrounding areas is said to have been inhabited for nearly 20,000 years. 

Miyagi Prefecture is best known for Matsushima Bay, which has 260 islands covered with pine trees, which is best regarded as one of Japans top views of Japan.
