
Shinjuku is a vibrant and bustling district located in Tokyo, Japan, known for its diverse range of attractions. From shopping to skyscrapers, Shinjuku is a popular destination for many who visit Tokyo.

Shinjuku is also home to world’s busiest train station, Shinjuku Station, with an average of 3.6 million passengers passing through this station on any given day. It connects multiple train and subway lines, including JR, Tokyo Metro, Odakyu Electric Railway, Toei Subway, and the Keio Corporation. Shinjuku Station is a a labyrinth of shops, restaurants, and exits.
Shinjuku Station can be reached from Tokyo Station on the Yamanote Line in about 30 minutes, or on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line in about 20 minutes.
Shinjuku Skyscraper District
The Shinjuku Skyscraper District is an area to the west of Shinjuku Station. The district is home to some of Tokyo’s premier international hotels chains, such as the Hilton Tokyo Hotel, and the Hyatt Regency Tokyo.
The district is also home to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. This administration building has a free observation deck, offering up a fantastic view of the Tokyo skyline.
Kabukicho
Kabukichō, Tokyo’s infamous red-light district in Shinjuku, is a vibrant nightlife hub packed with host clubs, bars, pachinko parlors, love hotels, and entertainment venues. Known for its neon lights, bustling streets, and party vibes, there is something for all sexes and all sexual orientations in Kabukicho.
*Warning: express caution when exploring Kabukicho. Some bars charge extortionate cover charges, and illegal activity like drink spiking and theft can occur. Never follow someone into a bar if you don’t know them beforehand, these are typically touts trying to lure you in, and are both Japanese and non-Japanese nationals. *
