Yokohama (横浜) is Japan’s second-largest city and the capital of Kanagawa Prefecture. Located just south of Tokyo, it is a vibrant port city known for its modern skyline, historic neighbourhoods, international influences, and waterfront attractions.
As Yokohama is only about a 25 minute train ride to Tokyo Station, Yokohama is a great place to base yourself when exploring Tokyo. With it being just outside of the main tourist areas, hotels are often much cheaper than central Tokyo, making it an attractive place to stay.
